*** Cream (for Vim) Version 0.33 Released ***

The Cream (for Vim) project (http://cream.sourceforge.net) has
released the latest version of an easy-to-use configuration for Vim.
Cream configures the famous and free Vim text editor so that it is
simple to use for those of us familiar with Apple or Windows platform
software. Through intuitive menus, keyboard shortcuts, and extensive
editing functions, Cream makes Vim approachable for new users and adds
powerful features for experienced users on both Windows and Linux.

RELEASE SUMMARY

This minor release features greatly improved speed in multi-file
find/replace, new date/time insertion formats with a simpler entry
method, better performance across slow connections, new Polish file
encoding option, and Column Mode selection dragging. Other refinements
include a new HTML page structure template, better empty line
collapsing and removal, more frequently updated Diff Mode, smoother
installers, and many bug fixes.

NEW FEATURES, CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS

o Multi-file replace is more than 100 times faster. (Some tests
accomplished more than 250 a second.)

o New date and time formats added to Insert Date/Time and the Stamp
  Time Add-on.

o Insert Date/Time keystroke now opens a menu of format options.
Double-pressing the key inserts the last format used.

o Fixed longstanding bug where Cream would behave too sluggishly to
use when editing files over very slow network connections.

o Help documents now open in the default web browser.

o Added Polish (ISO-8859-2) File Encoding option under the Format
  menu.

o New Preference for Cream to remember window position.

o Fixed bug where the printed font was too small or incorrect.

application. (Your operating system preference determines the
  handler application.)

  and closed.

o New Column Mode selection dragging (Alt+Shift+LeftMouse).

ADVANCED FEATURES, CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS

o New HTML template "html" for general page structure.

o The Format Empty Line Remove and Collapse options now consider lines
with only tabs and spaces to be empty as well.

o Special email sig line trailing space now can be retained on Remove
  Trailing Whitespace Format.

o Recent and currently open file lists now use and display paths more
  accurate to the system.

o Diff Mode now updates when switching windows or on save.

o The Settings menu structure is slightly refined to have all general
environment options under Preferences. All on/off options now
indicate current state beside the item.

o On GNU/Linux systems, the default installation location for the
cream shell script has been moved from /usr/bin to /usr/local/bin.

o New hooks have been added at open and close functions to enable
customizations related to filenames and lock systems.
