QBrew, Version 0.3
==================

QBrew is a homebrewing recipe calculator for Unix and Windows. The QBrew
homepage is at <http://www.usermode.org/code.html>.

The Windows package of QBrew already includes everything you need. Unix
packages and those building QBrew from source will need the Qt libraries,
which are included with most Linux and BSD operating systems. You need at
least Qt version 2.2 or greater. You can get the latest version of the
library at <http://www.trolltech.com/>.

1) Installing Prebuilt Packages

Unix users should follow the standard procedure for installing the package
under their operating system. Unix versions of QBrew install to standard
locations. Documentation is installed by default to /usr/local/share/doc/qbrew,
and the data files are installed by default to /usr/local/share/qbrew.

Windows users need to unzip the package to a their desired installation location,
and create a shortcut to qbrew.exe. Documentation is installed under the doc
directory in the install directory. Everything else is in the install directory.

2) Installing From Source Code

Please read the INSTALL file for installation instructions. Additional
documentation can be found in the source tree under './qbrew/docs' and are
installed by default to '/usr/local/share/doc/qbrew'.

Windows users wishing to build from the source code can use the qbrew.dsp file
for use under Visual Studio 6.0. Users with other compilers must cope on their
own.

3) Miscellaneous

Please see the AUTHORS file for a list of contributors, and the ChangeLog file
for a list of changes since the previous release.

QBrew is released under a very liberal license which reflects the author's wishes
with regards to this software. No payment or registration is required, but the
author would be extremely delighted to receive bottles filled with homebrew created
with QBrew. Photos of such bottles will do in a pinch. If you wish to contribute to
the further inebriation of the author, please send mail to <david@usermode.org>
requesting a physical address to send the bottles to.

Cash or code contributions are, of course, always welcome, and will grease the
wheels of QBrew development.
